D - I - Y

Easter weekend seems to inspire every DIY addict in the land to rush out and buy planks of wood, paint and heaven only knows what else. Have you seen the queues in B&Q today? Only the brave or very desperate will venture into any of those DIY shops over this weekend if they have any sense.

This weekend I have heard the road come alive with the sound of hammering and drilling. I have also amused myself just watching the cars drive out of B&Q. How on earth do you get those big garden fence panels home in your Clio?? What about the timber decking poking out of the sunroof? Madness!

I will not be joining in with the decorating this weekend. Instead I shall put my feet up and enjoy the break....oh and the snow!! The weatherman says there will be plenty overnight. Lets see if it happens eh!

I am off to try to eat my bodyweight in chocolate.....

Well, I didn't go to B&Q but I was at Wickes last weekend and I will be painting in a bit, but its all part of ongoing decorations after the builders were in!

I can never understand why the nation goes DIY crazy at bank holidays, oh, and the supermarket thing - must pile my huge trolley with enough food for a fortnight coz the shops will be closed for a day!!!

Yes the supermarkets are like mad houses...I try to get my shopping a day or two earlier so as to miss the madness!

Happy painting!

It's the same with garden centres - no matter how early Easter is this year, people have rushed off out to buy bedding and god knows what - despite the fact that it is snowing. Complete madness.

Enjoy your chocolate!

I agree it's madness!
My garden is looking like a war zone at the moment after I declared war on it a month or so ago and have dug up nearly everything in readiness for a new "look".

:)

Psst....the chocolate has all been eaten now!
